Office Description

The National Museum of African American History and Culture is the only national museum devoted exclusively to the documentation of African American life, history, and culture. It was established by an Act of Congress in 2003, following decades of efforts to promote and highlight the contributions of African Americans.

Description of the Work

NMAAHC internships and fellowships offer professional learning experiences through which an intern learns, under a mentor’s guidance, about a museum field that interests them academically or professionally. Interns perform research, give reports of their work, and specific tasks are determined by the intern and supervisor.
