Office Description

The Sivis Institute is a nonpartisan, nonprofit think tank dedicated to influencing and strengthening Brazil’s democratic culture through education and freedom of expression. Our purpose is to reinforce democratic values, and we achieve this through two main approaches: a) in-depth diagnostics, conducting multi-method research to understand various aspects of democracy, and b) mobilizing influential figures to engage in advocacy efforts. With over 10 years of experience in defending and promoting democracy, we have collaborated with a wide range of national and international partners.

Description of the Work

  • Support in literature review and desk research;

  • Assistance in organizing and cleaning datasets;

  • Preparation of summaries, reports, and presentations based on research findings.

  • Translating or adapting content between Portuguese and English.

  • Supporting the production of communication materials (texts, visuals, press releases).

  • Assisting in event logistics (registrations, coordination with speakers, note-taking);

Desired Skills

  • Proactive attitude;

  • Willingness to learn and contribute to different areas of the organization;

  • Intermediate knowledge of Portuguese (preferred, but not required);

  • Basic knowledge of data analysis;

  • Some experience in writing articles (academic or opinion pieces);
