Office Description

The International Crisis Group (Crisis Group) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation, with some 120 staff members on five continents, working through field-based analysis and high-level advocacy to prevent and resolve deadly conflict. Crisis Group’s approach is grounded in field research. Teams of political analysts are located within or close by countries or regions at risk of outbreak, escalation or recurrence of violent conflict. Based on information and assessments from the field, it produces analytical reports containing practical recommendations targeted at key international, regional and national decision-takers. 

Description of the Work

The  intern will provide assistance with:

  • Basic research on social and political data.

  • Fact-checking og reports 

  • Drafting situation reports 

  • Production of daily press dossier 

  • Maintaining contacts database

  • Other administrative work as required

Desired Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written command of English and Spanish. Knowledge of French or Portuguese is welcome. 

  • Good knowledge of the Latin American and the Caribbean region

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet.

  • Candidates must be highly motivated and responsible.
