Office Description
The Committee for Human Rights in North Korea (HRNK) is an advocacy and research organization with a primary aim to educate and advocate for the North Korean people and uncover human rights abuses under the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). HRNK has published over 60 books, reports, and monographs, and has been quoted dozens of times over many years in the U.S. Department of State Human Rights report. HRNK holds UN ECOSOC consultative status.
Description of the Work
The intern will be involved in research, writing (including writing an original piece, to be published through our Young Professionals’ Writing Program – YPWP), translation (if applicable), media monitoring, conference planning and execution (if present in the office).
Desired Skills
Experience in research;
Korean language skills (not an absolute must, but desirable)
Familiarity with budgets/spreadsheets, conference planning and execution, graphic design, statistical software.
