Office Description
The Analysis, Measurement, and Accountability Reporting Division is a division within the California Department of Education responsible for the development and reporting of all educational data and accountability reporting for the CDE. AMARD leverages policy and technical expertise to provide comprehensive data and statistics about California’s K-12 public educational system that empower state, district and local educators, researchers, policymakers, and communities.
Description of Work
Accountability is always undergoing continuous improvement, and 2023 will be no different. We anticipate that our fellow would be involved in high stakes projects and issues that will need to be prepared over the summer in anticipation of being presented at the August CPAG meeting or the September SBE meeting. This summer, we’re highly invested in modifying the English Learner Progress indicator as well as the College/Career Indicator. This fellowship will mostly be remote, with some in-person meetings with the AMARD team throughout the summer.

We are looking for an upperclassman with prior successful work experience and an independent work ethic.
