Office Description:
BCDC is a California state agency tasked with protecting and enhancing San Francisco Bay for this and future generations. We do this by planning for the Bay and its shoreline, permitting projects, and preparing the Bay Area for Sea Level Rise.
Projects Fellow Should Expect:
The fellow would be asked to go through our permits from the past and create an evaluation system for those permits impacts on socially vulnerable communities. They would then analyze whether those permitting decisions had an adverse impact on those communities and how. They would turn in a final report with the results of their analysis.
Desired Skills:
Understanding of Environmental Justice and Equity issues, and strong research and analytical skills.
