Chase Small (’23) is the chair of Stanford in Government. He was previously co-director of StanfordVotes and Vice Chair of Civic Engagement. Chase grew up in Seattle, India, and New York. He is majoring in International Relations and took time off from school during the pandemic to conduct research on misinformation at the Stanford Internet Observatory. Outside of SIG, Chase enjoys surfing, hiking, and playing the saxophone. Chase is looking forward to supporting SIG’s community as we return in person by fostering an inclusive space that allows people from all backgrounds and interests to explore government and public service.
