Professor Policy Lunches

Despite being in such close proximity for four years on The Farm, often the only way for students and professors to connect is in a course setting.  What if the demands of your engineering major dictate that you take certain courses, but you really want a chance to learn about Iranian politics from an expert on campus?  Or to learn about foreign oil dependency?  SIG’s professor policy lunch series works as a facilitator for such interaction – students can meet professors and discuss their research over the course of a lunch, not an entire quarter’s worth of lecture.  Lunches have featured:

George Shultz, Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution
Luis Fraga, Associate Professor of Political Science and Education (by courtesy)
Terry Karl, Professor of Political Science
Gail Lapidus, Professor of Political Science (emeritus)
Alberto Diaz-Cayeros, Assistant Professor of Political Science
Larry Diamond, Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution
Jeremy Weinstein, Assistant Professor of Political Science
