"Know Your Rights" Pamphlet
CCP is working with the Community Legal Services of East Palo Alto to produce a "Know Your Rights" brochure to be distributed to teenagers in the area. The brochure will cover important legal issues in a teen-friendly, easy-to-read format, and will be distributed to teenagers in East Palo Alto.
Major topics in the brochure include police encounters, censorship and searches at school, domestic violence at home, drugs and alcohol policies, and skateboarding rules. We hope distributing this relevant information will make an important impact on underserved youth in East Palo Alto.
Currently, we are working to finalize the written portion of the brochure, with help from volunteer attorneys at Community Legal Services EPA. We are also looking forward to working on the graphic design of the brochure to make it aesthetically appealing and effective. To help with this effort, we are soliciting contributions from community partners.
