Office Description:

The California Fuel Cell Partnership is a collaboration of 34 member organizations, including auto manufacturers, energy providers, government agencies and fuel cell technology companies, that work together to promote fuel cell vehicle commercialization as a means of moving towards a sustainable energy future, increasing energy efficiency and reducing or eliminating air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

Projects Fellows Have Worked on in the Past:

Summarizing technical background information documentation in the following projects:
  • Grounding and PPE at hydrogen stations
  • Update key H2 station information database
  • Technical and graphical explanation of how a PRD ( pressure relief device) on hydrogen storage devices work for use in CaFCP Emergency Responder education
  • Report on current innovations in materials sciences and challenges driving FCV design in the areas of the PEM membranes, catalysts, and hydrogen storage

Desired Personal Qualities:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to distill scientific information into “normal-speak”
  • Ability to work well independently

Desired Skills, Experience, and Coursework:

  • Knowledge and/or interest in hydrogen and fuel cell industry is a plus, but interest in alternative fuels would be a great asset as well.
  • Preferably someone with a general engineering background
